Coordinated School Health
Forum
The Stakeholders Collaboration to Improve Student Health is hosting the
Coordinated School Health Forum on Monday, March 30, 2009. The Forum
will feature Dr. Pat Cooper, Ed.D, CEO, Early Childhood and Family
Learning Foundation.
Prior to
his current New Orleans appointment,
Dr. Cooper served as Superintendent of Schools in McComb, Mississippi
for 10 years. As Superintendent, he spearheaded a longitudinal study
related to Coordinated School Health that resulted in documented
improvements in test scores and teacher productivity, attendance, and
reductions in dropout and suspension rates. Dr. Cooper has served as an
educator for 38 years in various capacities – including classroom
teacher, professor, and Assistant State Superintendent in the Louisiana
State Department of Education.
