The Parker High School Alumni Association Luncheon
Sunday, September 26, 2010
The Parker High School Alumni Association will host the 15th Annual "After Fiftieth" Luncheon on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at the Lexington House in Hickory Hills, Illinois, from noon until 4:00 pm.  In mid-July, the invitation/reservation forms will be sent to the current mailing list of classmates who graduated in 1932 through 1959.
 
It is anticipated that there will be approximately 400 people at this annual event.  Beginning at noon, prior to the luncheon, class photos will be taken of the anniversary classes from 1940, (70th); 1945 (65th); 1950 (60th); and 1955 (55th).  In addition, all attendees from the 1930's decade will be photographed as well.
 
The cost for this event is $25.00 per person and each class will be assigned a table or tables according to the number of reservations received prior to the deadline date, September 10.  There will be a band to supply the listening pleasure of old favorites and a short program, but basically, this is viewed as an opportunity to see former classmates and enjoy the camaraderie and remembrances of days past.

Calumet High School Class of 1980 Reunion
The Calumet High School Class of 1980 is planning their 30TH Class Reunion and is looking for faulty that worked there from the years of 1976 through 1980.
 
We would be so grateful if you could forward our e-mail address to them so we can give them the details.  The reunion is this August and we would like to have some of them there.

Kanoon All Graduates Reunion

We had a reunion which was first to be a 25 year reunion for all graduates from 1984 on, but the rest of us wouldn't have it.  There were only two more graduating classes before this and all of us were included.  So the reunion was for all graduates that ever graduated from Kanoon during its history.
 
A lot of students had been talking with each other on facebook, and asked about their former teachers at Kanoon; several were mentioned.  I am aware that several have retired since I graduated-as far as I know that is Ms. Patricia Williams, Ms. Gretchen Mobley, and probably Mr. Joseph Rodriguez.  Gretchen Mobley taught before Kanoon school at Robert Burns because I had her for 4th grade there.

Monday, November 16, 2009 at Polonia Banquets Donation $50.00 includes Dinner, Open Bar, Entertainment and 1 share to be used to purchase Mobile Laptops. For info please contact Becky Gomez -773-534-1738. Only 25 alumni from each year, will be able to participate. Tickets were available at Kanoon Magnet School.
The evening started at 6pm.  Call the school for more info.  You can also join the Kanoon School Alumni Group to see students who have graduated or attended Kanoon School.  Former students as far back as 1981's graduating class attended the reunion on Nov. 16th.

Retired Directors of Driver Education Centers Reunion
was held Thursday, July 10, 2008.
This summer there will be a luncheon reunion for all retired Center Directors in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Driver Education program in the Chicago Public Schools.  The target date for this event is Thursday, July 10th (subject to change). At the time this was posted the time, place and cost had not been established.

Individual invitations will be sent in May, at which time the specifics of the event will be provided.  The mailing will include a list of those who are being invited and feedback will be welcome in case anyone who should have been invited was inadvertently omitted.

The luncheon committee includes Jim Artese (Bogan), Sam Clemente (Wells), Jerry Conforti (CVS) and Ed O'Farrell (Central Office)

Hookway Elementary School
had a reunion weekend August 3 - 5, 2007
for all students, teachers, parents and neighbors of Hookway School.   The school opened its doors in 1928 and closed its doors 1981.
