IS ANNOUNCING A POSITION OPENING FOR
ASSISTANT TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Position Description:
The position for which the individual is applying includes the following responsibilities:
1) Maintain and update the RTAC Membership Microsoft ACCESS
Database as members’ data changes;
2)Interact with members and prospective members via
telephone, e-mail, and U.S. Mail;
3) Provide support to Chicago Retired Teachers Aid Fund
(CRTAF) grantees via telephone, e-mail and U.S. Mail;
4) Assist with preparations for semi-annual RTAC
Luncheon/Business meetings;
5) Collaborate with the RTAC/CRTAF Executive Director in a
variety of tasks related to:
a) communication,
b) documentation and acknowledgement of donations,
c) maintaining both organizations’ archives and records, and
d) providing data as requested.
Location: RTAC/CRTAF Office located in the Garland Building at 111 N. Wabash Avenue in downtown Chicago. We are easily accessible via mass transit, either rail and/or bus.
Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. three days per week when Chicago Public Schools are in session.
Compensation: $25 per hour. There are no ancillary benefits as both organizations are not-for-profit and have limited resources.
Individuals who have served in this position are retired
educators who have their own individually funded health
insurance.
The ideal candidate for this position would be an individual
who has been a successful high school programmer or a school
clerk who worked at a high school or large elementary
school.
